Back to Poker and an interesting 7-Stud Hand

I have deposited $200 on Lock Poker and I am planning to begin playing more.  For now, I'm planning on playing Limit cash games mostly, with the occasional tournament thrown in.  I'm planning on sticking mostly to Razz, HORSE, Hold 'em, and Stud Hi/Low since I think my edge is greatest against the average player in these games.

I was playing HORSE tonight and an interesting hand came up in 7-Card Stud, which is one of my weaker games in HORSE.  I think the villain took an interesting line and got unlucky here.  However, he spent rest of his short time on the table berating me for sucking out on him, proving his inexperience.  I think I played the hand well personally, but feel free to comment if you feel I made any mistakes.

I am forced to bring-in.  I'm not planning to defend my bring-in with utter trash.  Not only do I have three lousy low cards, one 7 and one 4 are dead.  This is one of the worst Stud hands imaginable.

As frequently happens at low stakes, nobody steals the antes.  Weak play.

I pair my 7 which actually gives me a pretty good hand.  Also, my opponent caught a likely bad card since a 3 is already dead.  I would expect him to raise most of the time with a three flush or a pair of 9s on 3rd street, so I'm almost always ahead here.

To my surprise, flash leads out.  I think I'm best, but I decide to call 4th street to try to knock him out of the pot on 5th Street, when the bet is doubled.

***5th Street***
cbond016 is dealt (4 7) 3 7 5
flash1313 is dealt 9 3 5

We both catch 5s which is a great result for me.  I have picked up a gutshot straight draw to go with my 7s and flash has only one overcard to my pair, which he has likely not paired.  Very easy decision to raise here.

Surprised when he calls, but players at this level call way too often.  I'm usually ahead here, but I have a ton of outs if I'm behind.

6th Street was not the best result for me.  Flash is unlikely to have improved, but I now have to act first on 6th and 7th streets.  I was hoping my raise on 5th would get me a free showdown on 7th Street if I didn't improve, but now flash will probably bet 7th if I check when he has a better hand than my sevens.  I must bet  and give flash another chance to fold.

Gin!  Unless flash hit an unlikely flush, my straight is the best hand.  Easy bet!

Flash gambled on 3rd street, hoping to let me catch something that would pay him off.  His plan almost worked to perfection.  However, I think he should have raised my bet on 7th Street when he made two pair.  My board is not threatening and I think a player in my spot would have two pair often enough, and would bet and call a raise often enough to make this play profitable.
